Experience Mildura Markets for the Best Produce

As the home to Sunraysia, you know that you will be spoilt with an array of beautiful fruit, vegetables, and homemade items when visiting Mildura. We are a rural city that has been blessed with some of Australia’s best locally grown and reared food, which we use in The Gateway family restaurant and functions room. You can be guaranteed that we source only the very best for our restaurant, and this can be part of your every day when you discover what our town has on offer at our town fairs.

Sunraysia Mildura Farmers Market

Perhaps our most well-known and busiest, you don’t have to look far to experience the best products and locally made goods. Guests and residents are quick to get their purchases early on the first and third Saturday of the month. As you browse, you will get to experience homemade cheeses and yoghurts, natural body and beauty pieces, handmade bread, the sweetness of honey and an array of beautifully grown fruit and vegetables, which are just a small snippet of what’s on offer.

Run by volunteers, it’s highly seasonable rotation means that not every stallholder is there every time, but you are never without access to variety. They actively promote and support the community’s farmers and have crafts, children’s activities, cooking demonstrations, and live entertainment.

  • When: 1st and 3rd Saturday of each month – with the occasional extra event
  • Location:Jaycee Park, Hugh King Drive

Red Cliffs

Another event packed full of the best regionally sourced produce is at the Red Cliff Country Market. It has a fun, carnival atmosphere for the whole family, which has many items that are not limited to harvest items but has a mix of plants, handmade jewellery, bakery items, skincare and clothing.

Located among the thriving stores around it, this market means you can support store-front businesses and enjoy the shade of Barclay Square when you need to rest your feet.

We believe in supporting our local farmers, whether at Sunraysia, Red Cliffs or other parts of the region, so we can offer some of the most delicious meals where you know that lunch and dinner is not only exciting for the tastebuds but is also a place to come together as a community.

Whether you’re a local looking for something to do on the weekend or you’re visiting the area and want to discover what our location is all about, head down to one of the markets or pop into our Pub and learn how beautifully fresh, well-grown and raised our region’s food is.
